Body as technology, touch as medium.
MIM is an choreographic project seeking to create an art form of touch.
Since the invention of the alphabet, “civilized” societies have been giving a central importance to sight. This dominance of visuality over other senses created a specific construction of reality. Medias shape the way we perceive and interact with our bodies and environments. In western societies, the sense of embodiment has sunk into the limbs of unawareness and people dramatically lack inter-personal touch.
MIM is a 30 minutes relational touch performance. Through sound and touch qualities, the participants are guided through an immersive journey where senses merge into new combinations, altering their state, getting in touch with their body and mind.
A unique invitation to rediscover one’s inner mediality.
